Story He moved to Sturbridge and was the first Justice of the Peace in Sturbridge. He also was tht efirst member of the General Court from Sturbridge. He called the first town meeting there and was moderator of seenty-two consecutive meetings. He was town treasurer eight years, town clerk eighteen years, and selectman thirty-one years. During the French and INdian War he outfitted soldiers at his own expense but was later repaid. He built the first sawmill there.2
